Expediting a background check

Modified on Tue, 28 Feb 2023 at 09:20 AM

Most background checks are processed in a matter of minutes, but some may take longer depending on the type of search that is necessary, geographical location, and local courthouse operations.

We understand how important it is for a background check to be completed in a timely manner so that you can hire the right applicant and get the help you need. If you have a particular candidate's background check that is taking longer than expected, please review your dashboard for the current status.

If the current status says reviewing, we are likely waiting to hear back from your applicant to confirm or update the information that was provided. If the background check has been in this state for more than a few days, it might be helpful to reach out to your applicant and ask them to respond to our emails or text messages.

Background checks that are in the processing status are currently in progress. From your dashboard's view, you will be able to see which checks are still processing and which checks are complete. If your background check has been in this state for more than a few days, it's likely due to local courthouse operations or a delay at the county level. If you would like us to expedite a particular applicant's background check, or to see what other options might be available to finish the report, please let us know by contacting us through our support center
