User Permissions (External Use)

At Turn, the user roles grant a certain level of access to our platform. This includes: submitting candidates to initiate a background check, tracking the progress of each background check, viewing comprehensive reports once the background check is completed, and taking actions on applicants such as approving, sending adverse action notices, withdrawing, and printing reports. Additionally, the Admin user can modify settings from the Partner dashboard, including updating payment details, managing package views, and configuring user permissions.



Understanding the level of roles in Turn: 

At Turn, user roles grant varying levels of access to our platform. Based on the needs of our partners, we have defined three different credential levels, allowing you to choose the appropriate level of access for each team member.



  • Sender's PermissionsThe Sender can initiate background checks by submitting candidates. However, the Sender cannot view the full reports or take any action on the results. Their role is primarily focused on starting the checks.

  • Viewer's Permissions: The Viewer can monitor the background checks being conducted on the platform. They can see the name of the candidate and the status of the checks, but they cannot view detailed reports or perform any actions.

    • Roles can be updated in settings - User Management
      By assigning these roles, you can ensure that each team member has the appropriate level of access based on their responsibilities.
  • Admin's Permissions: The Admin has access to all features of the platform. This includes submitting candidates for background checks, tracking the progress of checks, viewing full reports, taking actions on applicants (such as approving, sending adverse actions, withdrawing, and printing reports), and modifying settings from the Partner dashboard (such as payment details, package views, and user permissions).

    • Admins are the only users who can make executive decisions, such as viewing detailed reports even on "not completed" background checks. These decisions are the responsibility of the partner, and taking such actions may open legal liability.

      • If the background check is on Consider or review_qa (Compliance Review), to send the letter automatically through Partner's Dashboard (This could be done either from Compliance or our Partner's end), please click on Actions and select the Pre-Adverse Action option:

    • The Compliance agent MUST choose the Rejected Reasons and include a note (If there are no boxes checked and any notes included, we will not be able to continue)
